Our Process

At Rahvalor Interactive we constantly test and evaluate our methods so that we can best fulfill the needs of our customers. So far, experience has been our best teacher. The diagram below is a graphical representation of how our services and process combine to produce quality products.

Production Stages

The four inner rings show each stage of the process along to way to a successful project, from planning, through production, launch and maintenance. Stages are cyclical. As your business evolves, the process cycles from maintenance back to planning for enhancements, redesign, or a total rebranding.

Project Waveform

The wavy lines that pass through the center of the circles represent the project waveform. Every project has its own requirements, tasks, milestones, budgets and deadlines that interact to give a project its unique waveform. The wave demonstrates varying levels of complexity during each stage of the project.

Our Process

Planning – Setting Your Project Up For Success

This is arguably the most important stage of a project, and our carefully crafted process will yield the most effective results for your unique business needs. Planning is an integral part of any project that requires an investment of your time, energy and financial resources. In essence, it allows us to document every need, desire, expectation and goal of your project, and then plan the steps to achieve them.

You can compare the planning process to the architectural design of a building: much like detailed measurements and drawings are critical before building can begin, it's important to have a strong foundation for your web or software product to ensure that your project is successful.

Our planning stage integrates the display and structure of web content with detailed business rules and clearly defined functionality. The specifications we develop will be the engineering blueprints of your project. We will map your web site, lay out your database fields, diagram your workflow – whatever it takes to clearly define the project's objectives. Discovery documentation can include:

Wireframes – Visual representations of key pages that illustrate content layout and structure.

Production – Putting Plan Into Action

During this stage we carefully follow the specifications that we developed during the planning stage so that you are assured a product that meets or exceeds your expectations. We take a number of steps to ensure that we meet project goals, including:

Preproduction – before we begin development, we acquire and organize any materials or content that may be required, including copy, photography and graphical files.
Prototype – Otherwise known as the "first draft", this consists of a test site that simulates how your product is going to work and allows for necessary adjustments.
Design – Design is the final piece of the production process, uniting all of the functional elements into attractive packaging.
Testing & Debugging – The behind-the-scenes work that we do to make sure all of the programming does what it should. It's important to test on multiple browsers, platforms and computer systems.

Launch – Releasing Your Product

Most of the things that happen just prior to and during the launch stage are behind-the-scenes, invisible but crucial tasks. Launch includes hosting setup, live testing, setup of search engine friendly redirects and files and other technical tasks that let search engines and people know you’re ready for business.

Maintenance – Keeping It Fresh

This is the point where you often find yourself asking, "What now?" The "what now" is that we follow up to help with the continued success of your web project. This may mean adding content, enhancing features, studying analytics or embarking on a search engine marketing campaign.

Whether you need a small bug fix or a large enhancement, you can request it online 24/7 using Rahvalor's Project Management Center (PMC). Through the PMC you can log issues or requests, track their progress and view historical project data.
