The Challenge

Building a brand identity and taking it online to effectively support three distinct client bases; developing tools to improve customer service and reduce human resource time spent on repetitive requests; developing collateral marketing support and identity pieces; designing and implementing a network infrastructure to support growing technology requirements.

The Project

When Hamilton Cavanaugh approached us for a web site redesign, we discovered that each of their client segments required its own particular service offerings and related information. To keep Hamilton Cavanaugh ahead of the competition, reduce the workload on their human resource department and market to their unique client audiences, our programs and strategies over time have included:

  • Creating a logo that reflected their professional business image and developing branding guidelines.
  • Designing and developing a three-portal web site to target each of their three client segments with customized information and investment tools.
  • Integrating the web site with third-party investment tools to take advantage of industry-standard forms, information and financial calculators.
  • Designing and developing a database to house web site content, employee and investment advisor information and client data.
  • Creating a private, password-protected and secure portal for plan sponsors to publish timely and relevant information online to be easily distributed among all of its plan participants without the need to contact Hamilton Cavanaugh.
  • Creating a private, password-protected and secure portal for plan participants to log in and view personalized account information, including information published by their plan sponsors.
  • Creating a private, password-protected and secure administrative portal for Hamilton Cavanaugh to update web site content, publish plan and event information and manage client accounts with advanced search and reporting capabilities.
  • Creating an asset management system to allow Hamilton Cavanaugh to publish and selectively distribute documentation online to its employees and clients.
  • Creating a private, password protected Document Center for plan participants to obtain frequently-used forms and plan documentation.
  • Integrating the web site database with Hamilton Cavanaugh's internal CRM to ensure synchronized, consistent data across systems.
  • Developing an import function to process participant data received from third-party investment companies such as Diversified, BPA and Prudential so that the data would be accessible to clients via their private portal, and accessible to Hamilton Cavanaugh via their administrative portal and CRM.
  • Designing and developing a CD-based marketing presentation to promote and illustrate the web site features, including scriptwriting, interface and graphic design, voiceover and music production, CD duplication, jacket design and printing and silkscreen design and printing.
  • Designing a high-end marketing folder including conceptualization, design, copywriting and printing.
  • Designing a standardized template based on branding guidelines for Hamilton Cavanaugh to use internally when creating flyers and posters.
  • Designing an email newsletter template with personalized client information and a direct login to investment accounts.
  • Designing multiple advertisements for various print publications in both color and black-and-white.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining a network infrastructure to accommodate speed, reliability, security, data backup and retrieval capabilities, document management and remote access for employees.

They offer products and services for program sponsors, program participants and individual investors. Hamilton Cavanaugh acts as consultants, advisors and planners to hospital employees, employers and other investors for their retirement strategies.

Brand Identity

From logo to letterhead, posters to emails, we built Hamilton Cavanaugh's identity around consistent style, color and composition. Whether it's their web site or newsletter, we ensure that all pieces are uniform and work together to create a unique brand image.

Electronic Newsletters

These e-newsletters incorporate third-party industry news with custom content. Each newsletter contains information about the recipient's investment advisor and a login box that allows clients to access their secure investment account. These newsletters let Hamilton Cavanaugh track client interest based on what actions the recipient takes.

Print Materials

Hamilton Cavanaugh needed a premium marketing piece to appeal to high net worth investors. We designed this folder using foil and embossing techniques for a polished look. An eight-tiered interior describes Hamilton Cavanaugh's services, with die cuts for a business card and CD-based marketing presentation.

Electronic Documentation

When news, regulations or requirements change, we can create documentation easily using a template designed to compliment Hamilton Cavanaugh's branding. New documents can be uploaded to the web site via their CMS and made available to clients.

Marketing Presentation

When their new web site launched, Hamilton Cavanaugh wanted to let clients know about it. We created an interactive CD-based presentation to highlight the site's unique features and benefits, incorporating custom graphics with stock photography, music, voice and animation. The full package included CD jacket and silkscreen design.
