Our Work

Garden State Business Network

Working with the Garden State Business Network was both exciting and challenging. Not only did we have to come up with a logo and brand concept to meet the needs of this growing networking group of high-level executives and entrepreneurs, but we had to gain the approval of a collaborative Board of Directors seven-strong. We started with a group meeting to brainstorm and gather everyone’s ideas and expectations. By the end, we'd taken a stack of notes and established Chris Galati, an account executive at Cortel Business Solutions and Board member of the GSBN, as our primary point of contact. Chris proved to be an invaluable resource for helping us manage and communicate with a diverse Board and providing us with the resources we needed to get the job done.

When we got down to the business of creating the brand, we were presented with a unique conundrum. On the one hand, the Board had given us free reign to create the color and style. On the other, we had a page of notes from seven people with twice as many ideas about what that color and style could be! We opted to create a series of samples, from contemporary to traditional, from subtle to bold. We presented the options to the Board and it was nearly unanimous, with barely a nudge to those on the fence to get everyone to love the same concept. We wish every job was that painless!

Once we had consensus on the logo and brand, we moved on to the website. Design was straightforward – everyone liked the direction and agreed on the simplicity and cleanliness of the look. Content was another challenge. With Chris on our side, we pried, prodded and pestered all twenty-odd members for company and personal bios, in addition to general information about the organization. Then we got busy writing, editing, proofreading and polishing up the bios and other information so it was consistent and professional.

Finally, we set up a Facebook page so that the Board can interact, make announcements, publish news and keep everyone – including new fans – up to date. Since the site launch, we’ve worked with Chris and other members to keep bios fresh, update the events calendar, add new member pages and publish news, videos and other content as it becomes available. We enjoy learning more about current members and meeting new ones and look forward to many shared successful years ahead.

A word from our customer...

When our group decided to take on the creation of our website and re-branding our image, it seemed like a monster project. Then the team of Rahvalor came into the picture and made it look easy. They have a solid business process to help guide organizations from the beginning to completion. Their business expertise and experience helped in all stages of the project. And we got the results we were looking for so everyone on the Board and all the members were happy. More importantly we found a business partnership that we can rely on for a long time.
